Quality of food
I have been coming to this restaurant for the past 16 years, since I was at college. Being of pakistani descent myself, the quality of the food is as good as home. Great food, well priced, under stated but with everything a great curry house should have.
Quality of service
Very efficient, the staff have changed a lot since I first started to visit this pace, but they all seem to learn the same curteous, speedy service.
Variety on menu
And why would you want anything else? There are too many pompous places that make rubbish food, what you need are the authentic places run by people who know what they are doing. One reason why I don't rate Rusholme in Manchester or too many places in Brick Lane London.
Decor & ambience
Although I prefered it when I first started going, plastic chairs and table sets with no frills! But now it's very pleaseant.
Location
Town is literally 5 minutes away and there are some good pubs and clubs in the area.
Cost
When you think that the food we had (including 1 pilau rice, 4 chapatis and 1 plain naan) came to £40.00 with a £4 tip, is there anywhere else cheaper that is this good? I seriously mean it, all the people I have introduced this restaurant to, from all over the world not just the uk, come back every time they are in the city. Mumtaz is great as well, but this is a little gem that gets forgotten about.
In summary
I think I've said everything I can, if you like your asian food, you need to go to this place. The chapatis are like from nowhere else as well!!! Mmmmmmmmm, I could do with one now!
